The transition area will open at 6:30 A.M.
Rack positions will be marked by race category
You may arrive at any time after 6:30 am, but you may also prefer to arrive at the time noted on your race package.
Your Arrival Time is approximately 45 minutes before your On Deck Time.
Your On Deck Time is the time that you must be on deck, and ready to swim. Your swim cap and timing chip will be provided to you at that time. Your actual start time may vary slightly depending on a variety of factors, but your recorded time will not start until you cross the start timing mat.
Lost timing chips will cost you $75 to replace. Timing chips must go on the left ankle.
Relay members are not to be inside the transition zone until just before the active member arrives in transition. However, relay members may wait on the grassy area around the transition or the sidewalk beside the pool fence. It is the responsibility of the relay members to monitor the progress of the active member.
There are separate bike rack areas for Sprint distance athletes and Try-a-Tri athletes. Transition volunteers will direct you to the right area when you arrive. These areas should also be outlined in chalk on the pavement.
Triathlon Alberta officials will be in transition. They are there to help you have a fantastic race. Please obey their direction, as they are concerned with your safety and fun for all.
